Client – East Coast Construction N.E Ltd

Project overview
The scheme is the final phase of the Clover Grange Development. It is a development of 137 new-build homes which has boundaries including occupied residential homes, railway embankments, public access, dog walking greenfield & woodlands.
Risk analysis
Concerns were around effectively managing the noise, dust and vibration levels caused by enabling works & subsequent construction phase in order to minimise the effects on local residents, asset owners and users of the greenspace.
Our Solution
The Sensorbee Air Pro 2 is a solar-powered multi-sensor unit. The standard offering includes a Class 1 or 2 noise sensor, an MCERTs-accredited dust sensor for PM10, PM2.5 & PM1 particulates, and a 3-axis vibration sensor.
Units are installed at site boundaries to continually monitor all noise, dust and vibration levels exiting the site to potential receptors. Data is continually uploaded to the Sensorbee Cloud, where authorised users can access live data. The cloud platform can also be configured to send instant alerts via SMS or email to site personnel if a preset level is exceeded. The Cloud platform is also configured to send scheduled reports to stakeholders, ensuring that the site remains consistently compliant.
The Results
Site Managers and personnel could confidently concentrate on the development, assured that the system would notify them instantly should their attention be required.
Adjoining residents and asset owners were assured that noise, dust and vibration concerns were high priority.
Scheduled reporting allows the client to provide a comprehensive data file for handover at completion.
The real-time alerts system allows site stakeholders to make immediate decisions.
The solar-powered system provides assured continual data, without the need for additional power resources.
The installation, along with product training and siting advice, was all handled by NTS Monitoring, providing the client with confidence.
